At Datacom Technologies (BD), we consider customer satisfaction to be our utmost priority. We are not a manufacturer; we are a wholesale and retail distributor. This means that warranty services will be done based on the terms and conditions that each brand has. We exist as trustees of the warranty policies agreed to between the original manufacturers and their owners.
We highly recommend that our customers read the warranty terms below before purchasing.
General Warranty Guidelines:
- Warranties cannot be honored without a valid purchase receipt, invoice or proof of purchase. Warranty services will not be offered on products without these documents.
- Only products with an official manufacturer-declared warranty period are covered under warranty.
- Products with physical damage are not covered under warranty, including, but not limited to:
- Burn marks, cracks, or dents, broken parts
- Modifications or changes without authorization
- Rust, corrosion, or fungal contamination
- Labels, serial numbers or warranty stickers on products are damaged or missing
- Processors are VARIANT, like 2-3 yrs for a laptop brand. Please note that all laptop batteries and adapters have a 1-year warranty by default.
- Warranty will not be valid if internal parts are changed, changed, or serial number does not match our databases.
- Datacom Technologies (BD) will try to repair a defective product first if it is under warranty. In cases where repair is not a viable option, the product may be replaced with a similar or equivalent product, at the discretion of the service provider based on availability.
- All products must be free of broken locks, damaged hinges and any signs of forced opening.
- In the event that an exact model replacement is not available, Datacom Technologies (BD) retains the option of providing a comparable product of equal value from a different brand.
- Screens are not covered if they are excessively scratched or damaged.
- Warranty is not applicable for damage caused by bug infestation or insect related issues.
- If a product is declared unrepairable and a suitable replacement is not readily available, an alternative product may be included at a replacement cost adjustment.
- Datacom Technologies (BD) is not liable for any loss of any software, data or files of yours in the course of repair or replacement of products. We do not cover data recovery or software reinstallation.
- Liquid spills or moisture entering the product are not covered by warranty.
- The actual time to perform warranty service depends on the availability of replacement components. Repair times can vary anywhere from 5-7 days to as long as 40 days or more, depending on whether imported parts are needed.
- Lifetime warranty means, as long as the product is available in the market.
- Service which is out of warranty will be chargeable as per Datacom Technologies (BD)’s service pricing and approved by customer.
